We're partnering with Samaritan's Purse to participate in Operation Christmas Child. Everyone can get involved to help send good news and great joy to children this Christmas season!

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to provide God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. God can use a gift-filled shoebox given in Jesus’ Name to transform a child, their family, and their community. For many children, this is the first gift they will ever receive. 

More important than the items inside the shoebox, the gifts are an opportunity to share God’s love—and the Good News of Jesus Christ—with children in need.

Two options! 
Pack a physical shoe box and return it to Valley Brook or build your shoebox online! Directions below.

Pack A Physical Shoebox with Suggested Gift Items:

1. Find a an average-size cardboard or plastic shoebox. If you want to wrap it, cover the box and lid separately.
   
   
2. Decide whether you will pack a box for a girl or a boy, and the age category: 2–4, 5–9, or 10–14.
   
   
3. Select a medium to large “wow” item such as a soccer ball with pump or stuffed animal, then fill with other fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies. Click here for gift suggestions.
   
   
4. Pack the items in your box. Check out the "How to Pack a Box" video for tips.
   
   
5. Pray for the child who will receive your gift. You can also include a personal note and photo.
   
   
6. Donate $10 online and receive a label to Follow Your Box and discover the destination of your shoebox gift.
   *If you prefer to download and print basic labels, remember to include your $10 donation per shoebox.
   
   
7. Bring your box to Valley Brook by November 17.

We'll pray over the boxes during services on Sunday, November 12. Then our team will deliver all the boxes to a drop off location for shipping to the Operation Christmas Child distribution center!
